Professional movers carrying a box outside a residential building in Edmonton.
You’re paying good money to live in North Glenora, so you probably don’t want movers who’ll scratch your hardwood or dent your walls. We’ve been handling moves in this neighbourhood for years, and we know what people expect here – professionalism, care, and no drama. Our team provides leading moving services for families and professionals who want the job done right without having to supervise every detail. Big houses mean more stuff, more stairs, and usually tighter timelines. We plan for all of it.

Why Choose Us for Your North Glenora Move

Here’s what matters – we’re not some fly-by-night operation with a rented truck. YEG Movers is owner-operated out of our facility on 93 Avenue, and we’ve built our reputation on showing up prepared and delivering what we promise. Our pricing is transparent from the start, so you won’t get blindsided by extra charges on moving day. We’ve moved law practices, medical offices, and homes with art collections worth more than our trucks. Our crews treat your property like it’s their own because we actually care about keeping customers, not just getting through the day. Floor runners go down before we bring anything in, and furniture gets wrapped properly – not with whatever we found in the truck that morning.

Comprehensive Services Tailored to Your Needs

Some moves are simple – load, drive, unload. Others need more planning, especially if you’re downsizing from a family home or coordinating a commercial relocation. We handle residential and commercial moves, long-distance jobs across Canada, and specialty moves for items that need extra care. Our heated storage facility works if your new place isn’t ready yet or you’re renovating before moving in. Got elderly parents who need help? We do senior moves with patience and respect, not just speed. If you need movers fast, we take same-day calls when our schedule allows. Our packing shop stocks quality supplies instead of making you hunt around town for boxes that fit your stuff.

What Sets Us Apart in Edmonton

We confirm your move time 48 hours ahead so you can plan your day. Our team inventories fragile items and wraps them individually – not just throws them in a box and hopes. You point to where furniture goes, and we place it there, simple as that. Found a better price from another reputable company? We’ll match it. Our office answers calls after hours because life doesn’t stop at 5 p.m., and neither do moving problems. We’ve been around long enough to know what works and what causes headaches, and we’ve cut out everything that wastes your time or money.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Think of it as a grand adventure! Pack like you’re preparing for a treasure huntโ€”everything in one place, labeled with the enthusiasm of a pirate’s map. And remember, the more organized you are, the less time you’ll spend searching for that one crucial item that always seems to go missing.

Treat them like VIPs! Arrange a cozy ‘pet suite’ for them, complete with their favorite toys and snacks. Maybe even consider a ‘pet concierge’โ€”aka, a friend whoโ€™ll make sure your furry friend gets their daily dose of cuddles and treats.

Turn packing into a game show! Challenge yourself to see how quickly you can pack a box or make it a competition with family members. The winner gets bragging rights and maybe even a homemade trophyโ€”crafted from packing peanuts, of course.

Get creative with your labels! Instead of just โ€œkitchen,โ€ try โ€œWhere the Magic Happensโ€ or โ€œHome of the Tasty Delights.โ€ Itโ€™ll make unpacking a lot more fun and give your movers a chuckle or two.

Wrap them in bubble wrap and call it their โ€œsecurity blanket.โ€ Just imagine theyโ€™re on a royal journey, and youโ€™re their trusty guardian ensuring they arrive in style, complete with an occasional pop for good luck.

Unpacking can be a race! Set a timer and see how much you can get done before it goes off. For extra fun, make it a family relay race where each person tackles a different room, and then celebrate with a dance party once youโ€™re done.

Imagine youโ€™re in an epic heist movieโ€”strategize your moves, recruit a team of strong allies (friends or movers), and make use of all the gadgets (dollies and straps) in your โ€œtoolkitโ€ to maneuver your treasure safely through the labyrinth of doorways and hallways.

Unpack the essentials firstโ€”your favorite blanket, the coffee maker, and anything that makes you feel cozy. Itโ€™s like setting up a mini-vacation in your new home before you dive into the daily grind.

Channel your inner action hero and tackle it with confidence. Whether itโ€™s a broken item or a minor hiccup, handle it with flair and remember, every great adventure has a few plot twists. Just laugh it off and keep moving forward.

Think of it like planning a partyโ€”budget for the essentials and sprinkle in some fun extras if you can. Create a โ€œMoving Budget Bingoโ€ where you mark off items as you handle them, and reward yourself with a small treat once you hit a bingo!

We suggest emptying out the contents of drawers into moving boxes to reduce the stress on the piece of furniture which is being moved. It is also harder to move a dresser full of clothes than empty; therefore it may increase the amount of time it takes to move the piece.

No, unfortunately for legal & liability reasons we do not allow customers to ride in the moving truck. We arrange a taxi or chauffeur for you, at an added cost.

For local moves payment is due at the completion of the move, or in some cases before the unload if the move is to go past business hours, or if the customer does not have a credit card on file. For long distance moves, payment is always due prior to the unload.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, American Express, Email Money Transfer, Bank Draft, Money Order. There is a processing charge of 4% on credit cards.

We absolutely do! All our trucks are wrapped in our company branding. During the busy season we do sometimes have to rent trucks although the rentals are still equipped with all the necessary moving equipment.
