Moving Services Agreement

By booking with YEG Edmonton Movers, you agree to the following terms related to your move.

1. Deposits and Payment

• A deposit may be required to secure your booking.
• Long-distance moves require a 50% deposit.
• The balance is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed.

2. Cancellation and Rescheduling

• Local moves: Minimum 24–48 hours’ notice required. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
• Long-distance moves: The 50% deposit is refundable only if cancelled at least 48 hours before the move date.
• Cancellations within 48 hours may result in partial or full loss of deposit.
• Rescheduling is subject to availability and possible price changes.

3. Estimates and Pricing

• Non-binding estimate: Final price may change based on actual time, volume, and conditions.
• Binding estimate: Fixed price if the scope of work does not change.
• Not-to-exceed estimate: Final cost will not exceed the quoted amount but may be lower.
• Additional charges may apply for access issues, delays, or added services.

4. Damage Claims

• Claims must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the move.
• Supporting details (photos, descriptions) are required.
• Claims outside this period may not be accepted.

5. Liability

• Basic carrier liability applies and is limited by weight, not item value.
• We are not responsible for:
  • Items packed by the customer
  • Pre-existing damage
  • Improperly packed fragile items
• Additional insurance is recommended for high-value items.

6. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate move details
• Ensure proper packing (unless booked)
• Arrange access, parking, and elevator bookings
• Be present (or assign a representative) during the move

Your use of this website and any dispute arising out of such use of the website is subject to the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada.
