Professional movers carrying a box outside a residential building in Edmonton.

Moving in Hazeldean means working around those charming 1950s bungalows, tight back alleys, and the kind of tree-lined streets that make this southeast Edmonton neighbourhood feel like home. If you’re searching for a professional moving company in Edmonton that actually knows how to handle these older properties without scratching your hardwood or dinging your doorframes, you’re in the right place. We’ve spent years helping families and individuals throughout this community relocate with zero stress and zero guesswork.

Your Hazeldean Move, Done Right

There’s something about Hazeldean that keeps people here for decades, and we get it. The ravine views, the proximity to Whyte Avenue, and the quiet residential feel. When you’re ready to move within the neighbourhood or head somewhere new, YEG Movers brings a crew that treats your belongings like their own. We show up with floor runners, furniture padding, and the tools to protect every corner of your home. Our 48-hour check-in process means you’ll know exactly when we’re arriving, and our operations manager personally confirms every detail so nothing falls through the cracks.

Why Local Experience Matters

Hazeldean’s grid streets and back-alley garages can throw off movers who don’t know the area. We’ve handled moves on 99 Street, navigated the narrower lots near Mill Creek Ravine, and loaded trucks in driveways barely wider than the vehicle itself. That kind of hands-on experience shows up in how we protect your property and manage tight timelines. Our crews arrive prepared because we’ve done this before, right here in your neighbourhood.

Comprehensive Support From Start to Finish

We’re not just about loading boxes. Our relocation specialists are available around the clock to answer questions, adjust timelines, and provide transparent quotes that break down every cost. Need last-minute packing help? We’ve got supplies and trained hands ready. Looking for short-term storage while you wait on possession dates? Our heated indoor facility keeps your items safe until you’re ready.

Serving Hazeldean Families and Businesses

Whether you’re a young family upgrading to one of the newer infills or a longtime resident downsizing after years in your bungalow, we tailor every move to your situation. We also support local businesses relocating equipment and assets with minimal downtime. Our team operates out of our central headquarters on 93 Avenue, and we’re proud to serve neighbours across southeast Edmonton.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Think of it as a grand adventure! Pack like you’re preparing for a treasure huntโ€”everything in one place, labeled with the enthusiasm of a pirate’s map. And remember, the more organized you are, the less time you’ll spend searching for that one crucial item that always seems to go missing.

Treat them like VIPs! Arrange a cozy ‘pet suite’ for them, complete with their favorite toys and snacks. Maybe even consider a ‘pet concierge’โ€”aka, a friend whoโ€™ll make sure your furry friend gets their daily dose of cuddles and treats.

Turn packing into a game show! Challenge yourself to see how quickly you can pack a box or make it a competition with family members. The winner gets bragging rights and maybe even a homemade trophyโ€”crafted from packing peanuts, of course.

Get creative with your labels! Instead of just โ€œkitchen,โ€ try โ€œWhere the Magic Happensโ€ or โ€œHome of the Tasty Delights.โ€ Itโ€™ll make unpacking a lot more fun and give your movers a chuckle or two.

Wrap them in bubble wrap and call it their โ€œsecurity blanket.โ€ Just imagine theyโ€™re on a royal journey, and youโ€™re their trusty guardian ensuring they arrive in style, complete with an occasional pop for good luck.

Unpacking can be a race! Set a timer and see how much you can get done before it goes off. For extra fun, make it a family relay race where each person tackles a different room, and then celebrate with a dance party once youโ€™re done.

Imagine youโ€™re in an epic heist movieโ€”strategize your moves, recruit a team of strong allies (friends or movers), and make use of all the gadgets (dollies and straps) in your โ€œtoolkitโ€ to maneuver your treasure safely through the labyrinth of doorways and hallways.

Unpack the essentials firstโ€”your favorite blanket, the coffee maker, and anything that makes you feel cozy. Itโ€™s like setting up a mini-vacation in your new home before you dive into the daily grind.

Channel your inner action hero and tackle it with confidence. Whether itโ€™s a broken item or a minor hiccup, handle it with flair and remember, every great adventure has a few plot twists. Just laugh it off and keep moving forward.

Think of it like planning a partyโ€”budget for the essentials and sprinkle in some fun extras if you can. Create a โ€œMoving Budget Bingoโ€ where you mark off items as you handle them, and reward yourself with a small treat once you hit a bingo!

We suggest emptying out the contents of drawers into moving boxes to reduce the stress on the piece of furniture which is being moved. It is also harder to move a dresser full of clothes than empty; therefore it may increase the amount of time it takes to move the piece.

No, unfortunately for legal & liability reasons we do not allow customers to ride in the moving truck. We arrange a taxi or chauffeur for you, at an added cost.

For local moves payment is due at the completion of the move, or in some cases before the unload if the move is to go past business hours, or if the customer does not have a credit card on file. For long distance moves, payment is always due prior to the unload.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, American Express, Email Money Transfer, Bank Draft, Money Order. There is a processing charge of 4% on credit cards.

We absolutely do! All our trucks are wrapped in our company branding. During the busy season we do sometimes have to rent trucks although the rentals are still equipped with all the necessary moving equipment.
