When you’re planning a move in Hermitage, you want movers who actually know this neighbourhood. We’ve been helping families here for years, and we get what makes this area special.

You’re not just another job to us – we’re the best local movers who understand that your move matters, whether you’re heading across town or just down the street. We’ve seen how stressful moving can be, and that’s precisely why we do things differently.

Trusted Moving Partners for Hermitage Residents

Here’s the thing about YEG Movers – we’re not some big corporate chain with call centres and hidden fees. Tony owns this business, and when you call us, you’re talking to people who actually care about getting your move right.

We’ve moved families out of those beautiful older homes on the tree-lined streets, helped young couples settle into their first place together, and made sure grandparents got safely transferred to their next chapter. Every single time, we show up with the same energy and attention because your stuff matters to you, so it matters to us.

Complete Moving Solutions Tailored to Your Needs

Look, moving isn’t just about getting your couch from point A to point B. We pack your dishes like they’re our own grandmother’s china. We’ve got heated storage space for when your closing dates don’t line up perfectly.

Need boxes and tape? We’ve got a whole shop set up. Our crews show up with everything – padding, floor protection, the works. We’re not cutting corners because we know you’re trusting us with everything you own. That’s huge, and we don’t take it lightly.

Why Experience Matters in Your Move

After doing this for years in Edmonton, we know which streets get crazy busy during rush hour and which buildings have those tricky narrow hallways. We call you two days before your move to make sure everything’s still on track.

No surprises, no showing up late, no “oh, we forgot the equipment.” Our guys come ready to work, and they treat your home like it’s their mom’s house – clean floors, careful handling, respectful attitude.

Quality Service at Fair Prices

We’re not going to overcharge you just because we can. Our prices are straight-up honest, and if you find a legitimate competitor with excellent reviews who beats our quote, we’ll match it.

We’d rather earn your business with good work than trick you with low-ball estimates that balloon on moving day. That’s not how we roll.

About Hermitage

Hermitage has that classic Edmonton neighbourhood feel – mature trees, quiet streets where kids can ride bikes, and neighbours who actually know each other’s names.

The homes here have character, with those big lots and established gardens that take years to grow. It’s the kind of place where people stay for decades, which tells you something about what this community offers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Think of it as a grand adventure! Pack like you’re preparing for a treasure hunt—everything in one place, labeled with the enthusiasm of a pirate’s map. And remember, the more organized you are, the less time you’ll spend searching for that one crucial item that always seems to go missing.

Treat them like VIPs! Arrange a cozy ‘pet suite’ for them, complete with their favorite toys and snacks. Maybe even consider a ‘pet concierge’—aka, a friend who’ll make sure your furry friend gets their daily dose of cuddles and treats.

Turn packing into a game show! Challenge yourself to see how quickly you can pack a box or make it a competition with family members. The winner gets bragging rights and maybe even a homemade trophy—crafted from packing peanuts, of course.

Get creative with your labels! Instead of just “kitchen,” try “Where the Magic Happens” or “Home of the Tasty Delights.” It’ll make unpacking a lot more fun and give your movers a chuckle or two.

Wrap them in bubble wrap and call it their “security blanket.” Just imagine they’re on a royal journey, and you’re their trusty guardian ensuring they arrive in style, complete with an occasional pop for good luck.

Unpacking can be a race! Set a timer and see how much you can get done before it goes off. For extra fun, make it a family relay race where each person tackles a different room, and then celebrate with a dance party once you’re done.

Imagine you’re in an epic heist movie—strategize your moves, recruit a team of strong allies (friends or movers), and make use of all the gadgets (dollies and straps) in your “toolkit” to maneuver your treasure safely through the labyrinth of doorways and hallways.

Unpack the essentials first—your favorite blanket, the coffee maker, and anything that makes you feel cozy. It’s like setting up a mini-vacation in your new home before you dive into the daily grind.

Channel your inner action hero and tackle it with confidence. Whether it’s a broken item or a minor hiccup, handle it with flair and remember, every great adventure has a few plot twists. Just laugh it off and keep moving forward.

Think of it like planning a party—budget for the essentials and sprinkle in some fun extras if you can. Create a “Moving Budget Bingo” where you mark off items as you handle them, and reward yourself with a small treat once you hit a bingo!

We suggest emptying out the contents of drawers into moving boxes to reduce the stress on the piece of furniture which is being moved. It is also harder to move a dresser full of clothes than empty; therefore it may increase the amount of time it takes to move the piece.

No, unfortunately for legal & liability reasons we do not allow customers to ride in the moving truck. We arrange a taxi or chauffeur for you, at an added cost.

For local moves payment is due at the completion of the move, or in some cases before the unload if the move is to go past business hours, or if the customer does not have a credit card on file. For long distance moves, payment is always due prior to the unload.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, American Express, Email Money Transfer, Bank Draft, Money Order. There is a processing charge of 4% on credit cards.

We absolutely do! All our trucks are wrapped in our company branding. During the busy season we do sometimes have to rent trucks although the rentals are still equipped with all the necessary moving equipment.
